Mitzi Beesemer

Mitzi Beesemer is a performance, sound, and installation artist based in Rotterdam. Her work involves experimenting with the estranging effects of sound and the disorientation of the senses. Often characterized by a dream-like quality and an emphasis on texture, it frequently zooms in on something small, both in objects and in humans, creating a sense of intimacy. She works at the intersection of sound and performance art, collaborating with others as well as pursuing solo projects. She graduated in the performative arts from the Institute of Performative Arts (Toneelacademie Maastricht) in 2024.
