Carlos GrabStein

Currently based in Berlin, Carlos GrabStein is one of the most acknowledged figures in the underground scene of Mexico. Besides being the founder of Miseria Records, he is a prestigious EBM and Industrial DJ, producer and live-act with a strong discography on his back through his electronic project 89s✝︎, having released two albums in collaboration with Petra Flurr on the vocals. The first LP “Monotone Zone” self-released in 2018, featuring the single “Monotone Aggression Zone” (later reissued on She Lost Kontrol0, and the second one “Trübe Stadt” (2021) on Oraculo Records. His catalog also includes heavy hitters like “I’m Sick Of These Pigs” (2023) for Liber Null, “Time Off” (2020) on Meta Moto), “Sag Es Mir” (2022) on Soil Records, and the body-techno crusher “Berlin” (2023) featured on Kindcrime’s CAGE OF FLESH Vol. 1 — defining once again his dark and powerful sound that fuses full-bodied basslines with raw industrial rhythms and rough, effective percussion. He is currently working on a new project with Ben Bunzen from the band Hammershøi, called Damage Code.
