Sunflowers Radio Day w/ pemzzi & Cat A Lula

Airdate: 09.03.2025
Following last year's kick off episode of Sunflowers Radio that went beyond Women's day and showcased various flinta* artists from various electronic music scenes, pemzzi and Cat A Lula are back this year for a full radio day. For 8 hours, several guests will present their own sounds and practices through live or dj sets, accompanied by some chats, thoughts and recent music favorites.
12:00 - 13:00 Introduction by co-hosts pemzzi & Cat A Lula presenting their recent music favorites and the programme of the day.
13:00 - 15:00 Nago: Turntablist set with musical focus on drum and bass, hip hop and other adjacent genres. The mix will be ollowed by a talk with Nago about the practice, experiences in competition and insights about that scene as an accomplished turntablist and 3 time DMC/IDA World finalist.
15:00 - 16:00 Kovač FM: one-hour trip of limboistic sounds and bitter-sweet electronic meditation looking for noise and drones. Featuring unreleased diamonds, synthesized poetry and glitchy vocals in an experimental sound design.
16:00 - 17:00 Hints: All-round worker in nightlife and culture, from the early days of Club Laak to the early opening days of RAUM, Hints is not a DJ but loves music and being up in the middle of the night. Tune in for a mix of ambient, downtempo, trap and other more bassy things. Low end, deep, bad & sad songs. Music for singing and sinning, music for driving cars late at night <3
17:00 - 18:00 sausy: An artist interested in the poetics of (electronic) music, they often place their track selection in dialogue with poetry performances, creating a soundscape that emphasizes the poetics, politics and playfulness of being soft and LOUD. She draws a lot of inspiration from her personal heritage and the Black and Brown queer communities she makes part of.
18:00-19:00 lis: Founder of Epiphany Records and Agency, she is constantly working behind and in front of the scenes in nightlife. Her biggest work-passion is towards building FLINTA* safe spaces and de-constructing dance floors, as well as building unfamiliair rhythms through a DJ set or a live set. Lis joins us for a talk about her work, Epiphany as well as alternative music platforms.
19:00-20:00 prekeris: Originally from Vilnius and now based in Rotterdam, they emphasize musical diversity and explore the interplay between internet culture and electronic music by blending global club sounds, bass-heavy grooves, and bold, percussive rhythms
