Last weekend we celebrated the summer solstice in the park with a glorious picnic and copious amounts of swimming in the Limmat. As radiant as the day is, the solstice always comes with a touch of nostalgia — the longest day also marks the beginning of the slow return to the yin, towards shorter days and longer nights. There is something bittersweet about it. The show may carry a glimpse of this feeling: sun-soaked, wistful and melancholic.
